Having lived in the village for 27 years, I was co-opted to the Parish Council in October 2015 and now lead the village Community Speedwatch programme which I find very enjoyable.
Being Essex born, apart from a short period in Surrey, myself and my wife of 33 years, Karen have lived in Essex for our entire lives. Our two children Matthew & Sian were bought up in the village and attended Boreham School as does our Grand Daughter Alicia so we have three generations in the village. Our son is in the RAF as a Dog Handler, lives in Oxfordshire but our daughter Sian is a teaching assistant and lives in the village.
I have worked in aviation for 40 years and originally trained as a helicopter engineer and hold an Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence. I now fly a desk from my Boreham home as an aviation consultant to the airline industry.
In addition I am a fully trained expert witness for the courts acting on arbitration and other commercial aircraft disputes.
My work takes me to various locations throughout Europe and gives me plenty of time to enjoy one of my passions for aircraft photography. How many people can say after 40 years in the same industry that the love their job?!
Being part of the Parish Council has opened my eyes as to how important our community is and I am keen to assist where I can to enhance the villagers lives
