The Big Boreham Clean-Up on August 19th was a great success and the weather was perfect, dry but not too hot. The event was organised by the Parish Council and One Boreham and we had a great turn out. Twelve volunteers, working in teams, collected 25 large bin bags of rubbish and several other items too large to fit in bin bags. They covered many of the busy village footpaths in and around the Chase, at the back of Orchard Way, the parking area by Black’s Bridge; the path along the river and also parts of Waltham Road. The village looks much cleaner now and many passers by expressed their approval!
Boreham Parish Council and One Boreham are grateful to all of the volunteers who gave up their morning or afternoon to help with the clean-up. We also thank the Street Care Team of Chelmsford City Council who supplied volunteers with Hi Vis, gloves and litter pickers for the event.
