Get Ready for Winter joins up messages from Government and voluntary sector partners to encourage individuals, families and communities to think about winter preparations they can make to help them stay warm, healthy and safe.

You can access Met Office website for the latest weather forecast are able to access up-to-date expert advice from carefully selected organisations to ensure you can prepare for and respond to the weather, to stay safe and protect your property.

Lion Inn Allotments

As winter approaches we are reaching the end of the first year at the Lion Inn Allotments. All our tenants have worked very hard to very successfully cultivate land that had not been worked for many years. During the winter months our Ground maintenance crew will be working to clear weeds in the paths and around the pond. Two benches will also be installed for the tenants to take a break and enjoy a well-earned rest and cup of tea! Our thanks go to the tenants for their hard work and to the Lion Inn for all of their support. If you are interested in renting an allotment there are currently no vacancies but we have started a waiting list so please get in touch with the Parish Office.
